Junior Rankings

There are two established junior ranking systems, the Golfweek/Titleist Junior rankings and the Junior Scoreboard rankings.  Each ranking system uses a different calculation process to determine a player's rank and will change throughout the year as juniors compete in new events and results are added to the tournament database.  A Golfweek/Titleist ranking is generally more highly regarded since it only considers results from national and some larger regional events.  To be considered for national rankings, tournaments should be 54-holes and must have relatively large player fields.  To establish a Golfweek/Titleist ranking a junior must have completed at least six events in a rolling 52-week period.

 

The Junior Scoreboard rankings are based upon a broader set of tournament results that may include smaller local events that are at least 36 holes.  To be eligible for a Junior Scoreboard ranking, a junior must complete in at least four qualifying tournaments over a 52-week period.  Links to the current junior rankings can be found here:

Junior Golf News

The Golfweek website includes a junior golf section that provides weekly updates for stories about national junior golf events and other junior golf related topics. The Junior Golf Scoreboard website, in addition to providing junior rankings, also provides a range of useful information for the serious junior golfer including junior golf news.  Regional Junior Golf Association websites are the best source for local junior golf news, including local tournament schedules and results.
